West Point Nebraska baseball stadium

West Point's Anderson Field is one of those great old time wooden stadiums. Unlike some of the wooden grandstands in Nebraska the stadium is well maintianed and is in excellent condition. It is a great place to watch a baseball game. The grass infield is in pristine condition. This field is a gem in northeast Nebraska. West Point Nebraska Baseball Stadium

Entrance to park The ballpark is located in Neligh Park. Just past the outfield fence is the Cuming County Historical Museum. Train buffs will love the museum as it is the original 1904 Chicago Northwestern Depot which was moved to the park. It also has a Union Pacific Caboose and a one room school house.
There is a dedication at the ballpark to Wm. "Tony" Toelle, West Point's Mr. Baseball. The town of about 4,000 also has at least four other ball diamonds. They are a perennial contender in American Legion ball and they are known as team that understands the fundamentals.
