Richie Ashburn was born in Tilden Nebraska in 1927. He played in the major leagues for 15 years. He was an All Star five times and led the National League in hits three times. He was named to the Hall of Fame in 1995.
	Tilden is a town of about 1,000 people. It is about 22 miles west of Norfolk in north east Nebraska. The baseball diamond has a nice set of bleachers. It does not have a press box and the infield is dirt. The field is lighted for night play.
