This is a _very_ incomplete list of players in the various minor leagues in Nebraska. Players listed are those who did amazing things, or had an interesting bio or simply interested the author. Any pictures, additions or corrections would be appreciated.

O.A. "Buck" Beltzer, Grand Island; Nebraska State League 1910, Lincoln Links owner/manager 1922.

Elmer "Doc" Bennett Manager McCook; Nebraska State League 1928-, Norfolk 1938-1940.

Pug Bennett, Born Ponca Nebraska. Two year major league career and a fixture in the Northwest League for many years.

Richard Brookhouse Grand Island 1923, 1931, Beatrice 1933-1936, Fairbury 1937.

Edward William Brown, Superior 1913-1914, Fairbury 1915, Manager Omaha, Fairbury.

Joe Dolan, Born in Baltimore, played for Omaha and Columbus NE for many years. Settled in Omaha after his playing days.

Bob Gibson, Born in Omaha, Hall of Fame, Technical High Graduate, attended Creighton University.

Oscar Graham was a Plattsmouth Nebraska native who pitched for Pa Rourke's team in 1901 and 1902.

Pug Griffin, Born Lincoln Nebraska. Pug played for Lincoln and managed in Omaha and Lincoln.

Mel Harder, Born in Beemer Nebraska. Mel graduated from Omaha Technical High School. He played in Omaha in 1927, then went on to a 20 year major league career.

Ray Henningsen Born in Omaha, Ray was a sandlot star in his hometown. He played one year of minor league ball when World War II broke out. After a stint in the Navy, he played for the Omaha Cardinals.

Ducky Holmes

Johnny Hopp Born Hastings Nebraska. Johnny broke into professional ball with Norfolk in 1936. He played in the majors from 1939 to 1952 and was a Major League All Star selection in 1946.

Louie Koupal was a starboard side pitcher from Tabor South Dakota. He played for Hastings in the NSL and Omaha in the Western League. He had a six year major league career.

Jake Kraninger was the regular catcher for Auburn from 1910-1913. He also played for Columbus in the NSL and was listed as a manager for Grand Island in NSL also.

Jack Lelivelt: Jack was a player manager for the Omaha Western League team in 1920 and 1922. His incredible career included playing and managing from 1909 through 1940.

Cy Lingle was a fixture in minor league baseball in Nebraska during the 20's and 30'. He was a catcher in Omaha in the 20's and managed the Lincoln Link's in the 30's.

Ad Liska, Born Dwight Nebraska. Omaha Western League 1935, 1936.

Bob Logan, born in Thompson Nebraska, made his professional debut with the Fairbury Jeffersons in 1930.

Joe Lotz was an ironman pitcher from Remson Iowa. He attended Creighton, pitched for Kearey in the NSL and Omaha in the Western League.

Hugh Luby, Norfolk Elks, 1931-1933.

Roy Luebbe, Omaha 1921, Grand Island 1923. Omaha sandlot catcher who had a cup of coffee with the Yankees in 1925.

Les Mann, Lincoln native, Nebraska City Forresters, MINK league 1911.

Clarence MitchellRed Cloud 1910. Born in Franklin Nebraska.

Win Noyes, Kearney 1910.

Les Nunamaker, A Nebraska native, Les grew up in Aurora. He had a multi year career in the major leagues. He was the manager of the Lincoln Links in the late 20's and early 30's.

Cotton Pippen, Beatrice 1932-33.

Mike Prendergast, Omaha 1923, major league pitcher 1914-1919.

Pid Purdy born and died in Beatrice. Lincoln 1923, Beatrice 1924, Lincoln (WL) 1924, Lincoln Manager (NSL) 1936. Chicago (AL), Cincinatti (NL), Green Bay Packers, Seattle (Pacific Coast League).

Harlan "Firpo" Pyle, from Burchard Nebraska. Pitcher for McCook in 1928.

Lee Riley, from Princeton Nebraska, Nebraska State League 1937, 1938.

John Rohrer, from Hastings Nebraska. Played in the minors from 1909-1920.

Pa Rourke Owner and manager of the Omaha Western League franchise from 1900 to 1920.

Bill Rumler Grew up in Milford Nebraska. Played for St. Louis Browns and was manager of Lincoln Links 1932.

Bill Shipke played in Omaha in 1904 and from 1908-1914. He made Omaha his home after his playing career.

George Silvey A St. Louis native he played for Lincoln in 1932 and 1933 and Norfolk in the Nebraska State League in 1934. He went on to a long career with St. Louis as a scout, minor league director and manager.

Fresco Thompson Grand Isand 1921-1923, Omaha 1924, major leagues for 9 years. .

Dan "Rusty" Tipple Dan Tipple pitched for Omaha in 1922. Born in Rockford Illinois, Dan retired in Omaha and lived there until his death in 1960.

Jack Urban, Born in Omaha, Played for Omaha in 1959.

Dazzy Vance, Superior Brickmakers 1912-1913, Hastings 1914.

Fred Wigington Born in Rogers Nebraska, he played for the Hastings Cubs in 1922.
